I try never to use the bus from the tour operator, I arrive first at the hotel check-in, so no waiting around in the reception area, they also checked with me a couple of days before my departure date to confirm my pick-up time. I also booked a day trip to Cairo, the car again was clean and air-conditioned with a driver who took excellent care of me. My guide joined us in Cairo, spent a couple of hours in the Museum then lunch and then the Pyramids. An optional stop was offered for perfume and papyrus but I felt at no time hassled or pushed. I would gladly recommend this trip to anyone visiting Egypt. I always wanted to visit the Pyramids, am so glad I realized my dream. I also saw the new Egyptian Museum from the outside, I will definitely come back and visit when it’s finished.

This was a very good if long tour necessitating 3 starts. The journey travels along the Red Sea Coast and if you are lucky you see a red sunrise over the Red Sea. Much of the journey is across the desert and you are looking at 5-6 on the bus. The bus was fine. Cairo is not my idea of a nice place but everyone to their own. The tour included a trip to the Egyptian Museum which is enjoyable for those who like looking at mummies and artifacts. Then we were taken to a place where they make papyrus and papyrus illustrations. I found this boring but I know others on the tour enjoyed it very much. We were then taken to a very nice restaurant. From there it was the Pyramids and the Great Sphinx, by far the highlight of the tour. Finally, we were taken to a place where they make potions that are supposed to be good for the skin. This was insufferably boring but again others disagreed with me. The tour was professionally managed and our guide was excellent. I would recommend this tour for those who have stamina and don’t mind a 17 hour day
This tour was the highlight of my trip. Seeing all the artifacts in the museum was unreal. The pyramids were incredible to see. It was impressive to see all the ancient Egyptians’ work to build these structures and are still standing strong. The camel ride was not included in the tour but it was worth the extra cost. Our guide went above and beyond with taking our pictures. He made sure we got spectacular shots. Our tour guide, Mohammad, was very knowledgeable. He explained all the historical facts you would expect your guide to explain. This tour is worth it! Yes, the bus ride is long but it will all be worth your wild once you see all the beauty Cairo has to offer.
